Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain the clear and uniform large-screen display of the two terminal element type liquid crystal with which liquid crystal picture elements are driven via varistor elements by transferring and baking paste consisting essentially of a thermally decomposable org. binder and glass frit. CONSTITUTION:The varistor paste consisting essentially of varistor particles 13a and the thermally decomposable org. binder is transferred by a printing method onto a substrate 10. The transferred varistor paste patterns are subjected to a heating treatment and a protective film 20 consisting of the thermally decomposable org. matter is formed on the surface of the varistor paste pattern subjected to the heating treatment. The varistor paste patterns formed on the protective film 20 are pressed and the protective film 20 consisting of the thermally decomposable org. matter is formed on the surface. Further, the paste consisting essentially of the thermally decomposable org. binder and the glass frit 13b is transferred on the surface of the protective film by a printing method and is then baked, by which the varistor elements having a uniform thickness are formed on the substrate 10.
