Title:
PRODUCTION OF METALLIC MICROBEAD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2803777
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To precisely and efficiently produce the metallic microbead of solder, etc.
CONSTITUTION: A liq. is placed in a vertically long cylindrical vessel, the upper part and the central part of the liq. are held above the m.p. of a metal, and the lower part is kept below the m.p. Metallic small pieces with uniform volume are charged into the vessel from its upper part. The pieces are passed through the high-temp. part and melted and formed into a spherical liq. droplet by its surface tension, and the droplet is cooled at the low-temp. part and solidified to form an almost complete metallic bead. Since the process proceeds continuously, a low-m.p. metallic microbeads of high dimensional precision are produced in large quantities by combining with high precise wirecutter, etc. Further, a fluxible heating liq. with appropriate strength is used, the liq. and the prepared metallic small pieces are charged into the vessel, and finer metallic beads are efficiently produced in large quantities.
