Abstract:

To provide the production method of an alkylether sulfate whose color is improved.

The production method of an alkylether sulfate whose color is improved comprises a step of adding ethylene oxide to a higher alcohol in the presence of an alkoxylation catalyst, a step of adjusting the temperature of the reactant to 30°C to 45°C by cooling it and/or keeping it at a fixed temperature, a step of filtrating the reactant of this temperature range to remove the catalyst and a step of sulfating the reactant.
