Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method and a production apparatus for high purity hydrochloric acid in each of which hydrochloric acid is extracted from an exhaust gas generated in a gas-phase chemical reaction process accompanied by a dehydrochlorination reaction and iron ions of a high concentration contained in the hydrochloric acid can be continuously and stably removed.SOLUTION: The production method for high purity hydrochloric acid is provided in which: hydrogen chloride in an exhaust gas is captured in a gas-phase reaction process accompanied by a dehydrochlorination reaction to produce hydrochloric acid, which is led to purification columns arranged in parallel for removing iron ions; when the capacity for removal of the iron ions is degraded in a purification column, the removal of the iron ions is switched to another purification column, while the degraded capacity for removal of the iron ions is recovered; treatment of hydrochloric acid and recovery of the capacity for removal of the iron ions are practiced alternately by orderly switching the purification columns arranged in parallel; and thus the production of the hydrochloric from the exhaust gas and the removal of the iron ions in the hydrochloric acid are performed continuously.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
