To provide an industrially feasible method of producing an organic solvent type polythiophene based electroconductive polymer liquid composition.SOLUTION: Employed herein is an electroconductive polymer liquid composition production method by mixing water, a highly polar organic solvent, and a solid polythiophene comprising a structural unit represented by the general formula (1) in the figure.
