PURPOSE: To allow only the dyestuff necessary for an image to exist on image receiving paper and to prevent unnecessary microcapsule toners from sticking to the image receiving paper so that the good image can, therefore, be formed by using a composite emulsion in which a dispersion phase enclosing the circum ference of magnetic material particles with an oil-soluble material consisting of photosensitive material, etc., is emulsified in a water-soluble continuous phase.

CONSTITUTION: The microcapsules including a magnetic material and the photosensitive material are produced by using the so-called S/O/W composite emulsion prepd. by emulsifying the dispersion enclosing the circumference of the magnetic material particles S with the oil-soluble material O into the water-soluble continuous phase. A magnetic pole 46 for holding the magnetic material is provided in a part of a protective means 44 for supplying the microcapsule toners to a transfer means 45 of the image forming device M. Then, the photosensitive material from the ruptured capsules is partly transferred but the magnetic material particles contained in the capsules and the capsule toners which are not ruptured are not transferred to the transfer means 45 when the holding means 44 comes into contact with the transfer means 45.
