Abstract:
PURPOSE: An organoaluminum compund with a specific structure is combined with water, then polycondensation reaction is carried out by adding an organic acid to give the titled polymer of high molecular weight which is suitably used in forming fibers.
CONSTITUTION: Water is added dropwise to an organoaluminum compound of the formula (R1, R2, R3 are alkyl) such as diisopropoxyaluminum sec-butoxide. Then, an organic acid such as acetic acid is added, when needed, diluted with an organic solvent such as benzene to effect polycondensation reaction to give the objective polymer.
