Abstract:
PURPOSE: To develope a planographic printing plate using a silver salt diffusion transfer process with water.
CONSTITUTION: In the producing method of the planographic printing plate containing at least one layer of a silver halide emulsion layer on a supporting body and using the silver salt diffusion transfer process, the planographic printing plate is developed by incorporating a water hardly soluble basic metallic compound on a supporting body including a silver halide emulsion layer, incorporating a complex salt, which increases pH by the complex salt forming reaction with the water hardly soluble basic metallic compound in the presence of water, on another supporting body and laying the coated surfaces of both supporting bodies over the other in the presence of water. More preferably, a compound releasing sulfite ion by dissolving in water is incorporated on a supporting body containing a complex salt forming compound.
