PURPOSE: To easily produce a polyesterether elastic yarn having excellent elastic recovery, excellent in chemical resistance, weather resistance and heat resistance, homogeneous in physical properties as yarn and easy in post-treatment on an industrial scale.
CONSTITUTION: A polyesterether elastic material having a hard segment of a polyester consisting of mainly polyethylene terephthalate and/or polybutylene terephthalate and a soft segment consisting of a linear polyalkylene glycol is subjected to melt spinning at a spinning speed of ≥300m/min. After the obtained fiber is solidified by cooling, an oiling agent containing ≥10wt.% polydimethylsiloxane is applied on the fiber in an amount of 2-5wt.% and the fiber is wound into a cheese-shape with a tension of ≤0.05g/d followed by a heat treatment at a temperature between (Tm-120)°C to (Tm-20)°C [Tm is the melting point (°C) of the elastic material] for ≥30min.
