Abstract:
To produce a high-performance cement dispersant having a narrow molecular weight distribution in a short time with simple operation without requiring any special device.
This production process of the (meth)acrylic acid-based cement dispersant comprises charging all reactant materials which include a monomer mixture containing a polyalkyleneglycol mono(meth)acrylate-based monomer and (meth)acrylic acid, a polymerization initiator and water, into a reaction vessel so that the solid concentration in the resulting mixture of all the reactant materials is 50-90 wt.%, and subjecting the charged reactant material mixture to reaction at a 42-70°C polymerization temperature, preferably, while raising the temperature stepwise.
