PURPOSE: To efficiently produce the titled powder which is easy to sinter, uniform, and inexpensive and having high bulk density by successively forming the deposits of Nb, Pb, Ti, and Zr components and then depositing an Mg or an Ni component in the presence of an alkylamine.
CONSTITUTION: When the raw powder for a perovskite type compd. shown by the formula (A is Mg and/or Ni, x, y, and z stand for mol%, and x+y+z=100) and its solid soln. is produced, an aq. soln. of an Nb compd. is brought into contact with a liq. precipitant to form the deposit of the Nb component, then an aq. soln. of Pb and Zr compds. is added to the soln. to form the deposits of the Pb and Zr components, and an aq. soln. of a Ti compd. is subsequently added to form the deposit of the Ti component. A soln. of an alkylamine and an aq. soln. of a compd. contg. the metallic element of an A component are added to form the deposit of the A component and the obtained deposit is calcined. The easy-to-sinter powder having high bulk density can be produced with good reproducibility.
