Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a granular PTFE powder having an improved crystal particle structure and grinding aptitude.
CONSTITUTION: In the suspension polymn. of tetrafluoroethylene, a mixture of tetrafluoroethylene and inert gas is charged under pressure before starting polymn. and, at this time, the total pressure of the charged mixture is 5-50 bar and the concn. of tetrafluoroethylene in the mixture is 30-70 mol.%. At a time of polymn., by appropriately supplying tetrafluoroethylene, the concn. is held within this range.
