Abstract:
PURPOSE:To efficiently produce uniform droplet groups by blowing away drops formed on a nozzle discharging surface, etc., with a gas in dropping a raw material liquid through many nozzle holes under vibrating conditions in the vertical direction and producing the droplets. CONSTITUTION:A raw material liquid is dropped from many nozzle holes in the perpendicular direction while forming droplets under vibrating conditions in the vertical directions to produce droplet groups. In the process, when the droplets start dropping or drops are formed on the nozzle discharging surface, a gas and, as necessary, a solution containing an organic solvent or a surfactant is blown on the nozzle discharging surface to blow away the drops. For example, the raw material liquid 9 in a feed tank 8 is fed to a nozzle holder 2 under pressure with a compressed gas controlled to a prescribed pressure with a pressure regulator 10. A nozzle plate 1 is fixed to the nozzle holder 2 and vibrated with a vibrator 3 to drop the droplets 11. At this time, the drops formed on the nozzle discharging surface are blown away with a gas from a gas cylinder 5 and a nozzle 4. The droplets 11 are cured with a curing liquid 6 to provide particles 12 and the curing liquid 6 is recovered with a pump 7.
