Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain vinylsilanes useful as a coupling agent, etc., at high rate of reaction, in short time and high selectivity and yield, by reacting acetylene with hydrosilanes in the presence of a specific platinum catalyst.
CONSTITUTION: (A) Hydrosilanes having Si-H bond [e.g. the compound of formula (R1WR3 are alkyl or alkoxy)] are made to react with (B) acetylene in the presence of a platinum chloride catalyst prepared by dissolving (i) chloroplatinic acid in (ii) ≥3C ethers or (iii) esters and maintaining the solution at ≥30°C, preferably 50W120°C. Preferably, the components (i), (ii) and (iii) are H2PtCl6.6 H2O, tetrahydrofuran and γ-butyrolactone, respectively.
