Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a method for continuous production of a wave-shaped inorganic fiber plate which has so high flexibility as to be closely applicable to curved faces, is reduced in weight and keeps high compression strength and ply separation strength by setting the wave height and wave interval uniformly and orienting the fibers almost in the perpendicular direction to the horizontal.
CONSTITUTION: Inorganic fibers stuck with a resin are laminated into layers, then the resultant web is folded in zigzag so that the inorganic fibers are oriented in the perpendicular direction, and press-molded with heat into a wave- shaped fiber plate by folding the inorganic fiber web 4 into a zigzag form using a wave-forming machine equipped with a couple of folders 6.
