Abstract:
PURPOSE: To modify the process for producing zeolite from fly ash so that synthetic zeolite of high purity available for molecular sieves and catalysts can be obtained.
CONSTITUTION: Fly ash is washed with strong acid such as sulfuric acid, then mixed with aqueous sodium hydroxide and the mixture is heated to synthesize zeolite. Then, the aqueous sodium hydroxide is separated by dehydration to collect the solid zeolite.
