Abstract:

To prevent operation of a physical server whose resource usage is estimated to be insufficient from becoming unstable.

A program performing virtual machine migration control causes a management server 1 to perform the steps of: estimating resource shortage within a prescribed time period for a physical server loaded with a plurality of virtual machines; specifying a virtual machine whose resource shortage can be resolved by migrating the virtual machine loaded on the physical server whose resource shortage is estimated to another physical server at the time point of the estimated resource shortage; and executing a process to migrate the specified virtual machine to the other physical machine on the basis of the resource usage within the prescribed time period of the specified virtual machine and the time point corresponding to the resource usage.
