To provide a projection display apparatus for displaying a projection image, the projection display apparatus flexibly and easily meeting demand for a revision in the specification of the apparatus while appropriately cooling a light source.

The projection display apparatus includes the light source for emitting light for displaying the projection image, a cooling fan for blowing air to cool the light source, and a duct for guiding the cooling air from the cooling fan to the light source, wherein, an air guiding member 9 for biasing the air quantity balance through a directional change in the cooling air and an air quantity adjusting member 6 for narrowing the flow passage area so as to adjust the air quantity of the cooling air are arranged in a partial duct 5 constituting a part of the duct. The partial duct 5 can be replaced by attachment/detachment thereof.
