Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projection display device that can prevent a burden from being imposed on the eyes of a person who sees projection display.SOLUTION: A projection display device comprises: a light source that emits a first laser beam for projection display and a second laser beam for inspection; a drive reflection part that reflects and scans the first laser beam and second laser beam emitted from the light source; a light diffusion part that has a predetermined area for transmitting and diffusing the first laser beam scanned by the drive reflection part; at least one mirror that guides, of the first laser beam diffused in the predetermined area of the light diffusion part, a beam for projection display; a light detection part that detects the second laser beam through the predetermined area of the light diffusion part; and a control part that determines the state of the predetermined area of the light diffusion part on the basis of a value detected by the light detection part. The light diffusion part is a microlens array. When determining, as the state of the predetermined area of the light diffusion part, that a trouble occurs in the predetermined area of the light diffusion part, the control part executes processing to stop projection display.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
