Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projection lens that is large and heavy and yet offers improved portability and mountability while maintaining optical quality thereof, and to provide a projector having the same.SOLUTION: A projection lens 5 includes holding members 55 that are mounted on a part of a lens barrel 52 protruding in a direction substantially perpendicular to an optical axis OA on the outside of the lens barrel to hold a projection lens body 50. The holding members 55 are mounted to protrude in a direction substantially parallel to the optical axis OA and to intersect a plane that includes a centroid G and is substantially perpendicular to the optical axis OA. The projection lens also includes a flange 53 for mounting the projection lens body 50 on an image projection device (projector 1), where the holding members 55 are mounted on the flange 53.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
