Abstract:
To provide a projection type video display device and a lamp unit capable of easily adjusting a flow of cooling air at a low cost.
A projector which is a projection type video display device comprises a lamp 21 for displaying a video and cools the lamp 21 by blowing cooling air. The projector comprises a metal plate 5a in which ventilation holes 51 are formed for passing the cooling air. Because the ventilation holes 51 are formed by cutting and raising the metal plate 5a, the metal plate 5a has a ventilation hole forming surface in which the ventilation holes 51 are formed and cut-and-raised parts which are bent to the ventilation hole forming surface.
