Title:
PROJECTOR DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3318903
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make a device simple and compact and to increase the brightness of a display video by converging ineffective reflected light other than effective reflected light and providing a solar battery means which is irradiated with this converged ineffective reflected light.
CONSTITUTION: When a desired video is displayed on a video display face by effective reflected light of specular deflection type optical modulators 2R, 2G, and 2B corresponding to video area, ineffective reflected light other than effective reflected light out of reflected light reflected by specular deflection type optical modulators 2R, 2G, and 2B is converged through converging means 41R, 41G, and 41B and is thrown to the solar battery means. Thus, ineffective reflected light can be effectively utilized, and the electric power obtained from the solar battery means is used to drive a cooler 43 which cools a light source 3 of illuminating light L1, and thereby the power consumption is reduced and light energy is effectively used to save the energy.
