Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of electrical connection due to an uncertain conduction substance, such as rain, in a propeller shaft using a cross shaft coupling.
SOLUTION: In a propeller shaft, an insulation film 6 is formed on a contact part between the two outer ring cups 33, positioned opposite to each other in a 180° arc, of at least cross shaft coupling and the coupling mating thereof, and a shaft part except the screw part of a bolt 4 to intercouple the two outer ring cups 33 and a coupling mating (1 or 2) and the seat surface of a heat part. In a state that the two outer ring cups 33 are coupled to the coupling mating (1 or 2) by the bolt 4, at least the outer surface of a contact part between each outer ring cup 33 and the coupling mating (1 or 2) and the outer surface of a contact part between each outer ring cup 33 and the head part seat surface of the bolt 4 are covered with a protection film 9 having insulation ability and nonhygroscopic properties.
