To provide a compact protection side guard capable of eliminating the influence of the air pressure, possible to be surely fixed by securing rigidity, while preventing a rider from being caught by a spoke and preventing a shoe from being caught between a guard body and a wheel, and capable of being used for a bicycle in a different size.

In the protection side guard for a bicycle for covering side surfaces of a wheel of the bicycle, an end 8a to be an inlet side end of ends of the guard body 5 in the turning direction of the wheel when the wheel passes a side of the guard body 5 in the operation for travelling forward is formed into the structure 16 for preventing the guard body 5 itself from being caught, and with this structure, the end 8a of the guard body 5 facing the turning direction of the wheel is reinforced to prevent deformation, and fear that the guard body 5 itself is caught by the wheel is reduced, and while the protection side guard structure 16 is rebounded by interference thereof with the wheel, and the guard body 5 can be effectively prevented from being caught.
