Abstract:

To provide a protective relay device preventing expansion of a power failure area even if two short-circuit protective relays is installed.

The protective relay device has a structure in which first and second current transformers 31, 32 are sum-connected and second and third current transformers 32, 33 are sum-connected, out of the first-third current transformers 31-33 installed in R-, S- and T-phases of a power transmission line. Upon detecting a short-circuit failure on the basis of a first short-circuit current IRy1 inputted from the first and second current transformers 31 and 32 which are sum-connected, a first overcurrent relay 41 collectively interrupts first-third breakers 21-23 provided on each of the phases of the power transmission line. Upon detecting a short-circuit failure on the basis of a second short-circuit current IRy2 inputted from the second and third current transformers 32, 33 which are sum-connected, a second overcurrent relay 42 collectively interrupts first-third breakers 21-23.
