Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a public Internet service system by which users can receive an Internet service without the need for making in advance a contract with an Internet service provider or the like.
SOLUTION: The public terminal 100 having a phone function and functions of browser and electronic mail transmission or the like is installed in the public Internet service system. The public terminal 100 accesses a provider 20 predetermined or selected by user among providers via public line 10 to receive an Internet connection service. The public terminal 100 is provided with a function of charging of the public line 10 and collecting the charging of the provider 20. The charging is adjusted by deposited coins or a pre-paid card or the like. The public terminal 100 records the charging amount of the provider at every service. The recording is referenced for the charging adjustment between the provider 20 and the public terminal 100.
