To hold a water level of a pump well in a specific range, by adjusting the number of operation platforms of a pump in response to a predicted inflow quantity, while preventing an increase in a business burden of an operation operator, an increase in an electric power using quantity and the occurrence of a flooding accident, by maintaining the operation content of the pump as it is, when the predicted inflow quantity is temporarily increased or reduced.
This pump operation support device is constituted so that an inflow quantity predicting part 15 predicts an inflow quantity in a predicting range on the basis of respective measuring results; when the inflow quantity increases in the whole section in the predicting range and a predicted water level exceeds a pump operation water level, or when the inflow quantity reduces in the whole section in the predicting range and the predicted water level is less than a pump stopping water level, this fact is detected by an arithmetic operation part 16; and pump operation guidance and pump stopping guidance are outputted from an operation support part 17 and a controller part 18, to prevent an actual water level from falling off out of the specific range.
