Abstract:
To provide a pump capable of suppressing the flow of foreign matters into a pump chamber in which a rotary member is provided, in a simple construction.SOLUTION: A housing 20 has a suction port 31 for sucking fuel as fluid, a pump chamber 33 connected to the suction port 31, and a discharge port 36 connected to the pump chamber 33 for discharging the fuel to the outside of the pump chamber 33. A rotary member 40 is provided in the pump chamber 33 for, when rotated, sucking the fuel from the suction port 31 into the pump chamber 33 and discharging it from the discharge port 36 to the outside of the pump chamber 33. A case 60 has an inlet flow path 71 into which the fuel flows, and a fluid chamber 72 connected to the inlet flow path 71 and the suction port 31. The inlet flow path 71 is connected at one end to an inner peripheral wall 720 of the fluid chamber 72 in such a manner that an axis Ax1 thereof does not intersect with an axis Ax2 of the fluid chamber 72. The suction port 31 of which the inner diameter is small than the inner diameter of the fluid chamber 72 is connected at one end to the center of one end face in the axial direction of the fluid chamber 72.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
