Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pumping noise simulation method by which computational quantity is suppressed and besides, accuracy of pumping noise prediction can be improved.SOLUTION: The pumping noise simulation method related to the present invention is configured to calculate data to be used to predict a pumping noise generated in a tire having a groove which extends at least in a direction oblique to a tire circumferential direction. The pumping noise simulation method includes a step A of producing a tire mode, a step B of producing a road surface model, a step C of calculating a groove volume of the inside of the groove by pressing the road surface model against the tire model with a predetermined force, and calculating a groove volume change rate of the groove volume by moving the pressing position of the road surface model on the tire model in the tire circumferential direction, and a step D of determining a sound pressure level of a pumping noise on the basis of the groove volume change rate.
