Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a coating material which is esp. useful for containers formed by deep drawing, e.g. DRD deep drawing.
CONSTITUTION: The coating material is a phenoxy resin-based, PVC-free coating material for metal containers. The material pref. contains a phenoxy resin and optionally the second resin, pref. an epoxy resin, a polyester resin and/or a phenol resin, in a ratio of the phenoxy resin to the second resin of (99/1)-(5/95). The compsn., though it can be applied to an already formed metal container, is pref. applied to a sheet metal before being formed into a container.
