PURPOSE: To obtain an ink using naturally occurring dyes which can print beautiful color hue rich in variety with excellent fastness and contains no substance hazardous to human bodies because of use of natural substances, by formulating a vegetable drying oil, natural resins and others to naturally occurring dyes.

CONSTITUTION: This ink is prepared by formulating (A) a vegetable drying oil such as linseed oil, (B) a component selected from among natural resins such as hevea rubber, natural resin derivatives such as hardened rosin and synthetic resins such as an epoxy resin, (C) a solvent selected from among aliphatic hydrocarbons such as n-hexane, and alcoholic solvents such as methanol, and (D) a plasticizer selected from among tannins such as pyrogallol, proteins such as gluten and carbohydrated such as starch to (E) a natural dye extracted. Such a natural dye is extracted from plants such as safflower, animals such as cochineal or minerals such as mineral khaki.
