Abstract:
To provide a PWM signal generation circuit which can generate a high-resolution PWM signal with high precision.
The PWM signal generation circuit comprises a circuit generating a digital PWM signal based on a clock signal CLK, a triangle wave generator generating a triangle wave synchronized with the clock signal CLK, a section for generating a threshold for the triangle wave corresponding to the linear region of the triangle wave, and a comparator for comparing the triangle wave with a threshold generated from threshold generating section wherein the resolution of the digital PWM signal is enhanced based on the output from the comparator.
