Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL: Compounds of formula I (wherein, R1 is alkyl, alkenyl or alkynyl etc.; R2 is alkyl, alkoxy, alkylamino, halogen or phenyl etc.; R3 is H or halogen; R4 is a residue of alcohol, R4OH for forming an insecticidal ester when bonded with chrysanthemic acid, permetric acid and sihalotric acid; and X is O or S) and their streoisomers.
EXAMPLE: 2,3,5,6-tetrafluoro-4-(methoxymethyl)benzyl (RS)-2-[2(1,1-dimethylethyl) pyrimidine-5-yl]-3,3-dimethyl butanoate.
USE: Insecticides and acaricides.
PROCESS: For example, an acid of formula II (wherein, Q is OH) is allowed to react with an alcohol of the formula, R4-OH or a thiol of the formula, R4-SH in the presence of an acid catalyst or a dehydrating agent, to obtain a compd. of formula I.
