This method is used for determining the quantity of nitride in a steel product. This method is equipped with a primary treatment process for extracting deposit including at least nitride as a primary extract from the steel product, a secondary treatment process for heating and liquefying the primary extract obtained by the primary treatment process together with an acid including no nitrogen as a component in a hermetically sealed decomposition container, and a pouring process for pouring a solution, into which the primary extract is liquefied by the secondary treatment process, into a nitrogen analyzer which is a closed system.
