Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a radar device capable of identifying type of such as an aircraft as an objective without sacrificing functions of a conventional radar device, i.e., search, detection and tracking.
CONSTITUTION: A beam control means 800, a pulse stretching means 320 and a signal conversion means 610. In the beam control means 800, scanning control is made of a search beam for scanning on the basis of a beam scanning program and an identification beam for scanning for an objective for type identification. In the pulse stretching means 320, an stretch pulse of narrow bank is generated for the search beam and an stretch pulse of wide band for the identification beam. In the signal conversion means 610, an A/D conversion signal sampled at high speed by the identification beam is time extended. There are also provided independent reception systems suitable for pulse extension characteristics of the search and the identification beams, respectively.
