This radar system 20 includes an auxiliary reception part 40 as an auxiliary quick operation circuit having the constitution same to a reception circuit 30 of a quick operation circuit in a reception signal processing system, as an auxiliary signal processing means 50, a detection part 44 as an auxiliary slow operation circuit having the constitution same to a slow operation circuit in the reception signal processing system, and a comparator 45. A demultiplexer 37 inputs directly a transmission signal transmitted from an antenna 22 to a space in a transmission signal processing system into the auxiliary reception part 40 of the auxiliary quick operation circuit in the auxiliary signal processing means 50, as a transmission signal input means. The input transmission signal is processed also in the auxiliary signal processing means 50 as same as in the reception signal processing system, fluctuation of the delay amount affected by a temperature and an electric power source is processed by the same manner, and a great influence is prevented in calculation of transmission and reception timings to enhance precision for distance calculation up to a target 21.
