The radar system includes a transmitter 2 for setting a parameter provided with a first condition having a relative speed and a relative distance within a range with a target set in advance to solve ambiguity of a distance in PRI of the target having the relative speed, and a second condition in which distance resolution in the PRI of the target having the relative distance has higher accuracy than distance resolution after FM ranging, and radiating a transmission signal subjected to intrapulse modulation by PRI to a carrier signal frequency-modulated over a plurality PRIs on the basis of the set parameter.
