Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of improving detection quantum efficiency of a radiation detection assembly.SOLUTION: A radiation detection assembly comprises a sensor panel having a pixel array containing a plurality of photoelectric conversion elements, and a scintillator layer in which a plurality of columnar crystals for converting a radiation into light are arranged so as to cover the whole area of the pixel array. The scintillator layer includes a first part, and a second part positioned between the first part and the sensor panel. Each of the plurality of columnar crystals extends in a first direction in the first part, and extends in a second direction which is different from the first direction in the second part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
