Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation detector that relates to a radiation monitor measuring a charged particle or neutron, and can make a measurement even under a high dose rate environment, and to provide a radiation measurement method.SOLUTION: A radiation detector 100 comprises: a pixel type detection element 1 that is made up of at least one or more pixel elements 1a; an optical fiber 10 that is connected to a single piece with respect to the single piece of each pixel element 1a of the pixel type detection element 1, and transmits a photon generating in the pixel type detection element 1; an optical detection unit 20 that converts the photon transmitted by the optical fiber 10 into an electric signal; a measurement device 30 that obtains a counting rate of the electric signal converted by the optical detection unit 20; and an analysis/display device 40 that obtains a dose rate of radiation on the basis of the counting rate obtained by the measurement device 30, in which a timewise change in the counting rate of every single photon generated in the pixel type detection element 1 is measured.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
