Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an increase in peak power and deterioration of communication quality in radio communication combining multi-carrier modulation system and CDMA system.
SOLUTION: Signals of a first chip and a k-th chip are transmitted to an IFFT 105 as they are, and signals of a second chip to (k-1)-th chip are respectively transmitted to level limit section 104a2 to level limit section 104ak-1. Thus, as to signals placed on carriers at ends where error rates are higher than those of the other carriers, transmission levels are not limited. For signals placed on carriers other than carriers at ends, transmission levels are limited to upper limit values set for the level limit section 104a2 to level limit section 104ak-1. In this way, some carriers which are higher in error rate than in the other carriers, limit on transmission level is relaxed, as compared with those of the other carriers.
