Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable transmission of a proper base station identification number and accurate specifying a position of a portable telephone set.
SOLUTION: In the portable telephone set 1, transition is performed from a data communication state to a dormant state when a position determination request is accepted after transition is performed from a standby state to the data communication state, base station identification numbers are received again on a paging channel from a plurality of base stations 13, and a base station 13 which is represented by a base station identification number out of the base station identification numbers received from a plurality of the base stations is decided again as a communication base station. Even in a case that operation for commanding the start of position determination is performed after a user starts data communication and then moves, the portable telephone set 1 can transmits a proper base station identification number showing the base stations 13 to which data communication is actually performed to a position information server 16.
