Abstract:
To enable a called party to quickly check the whole message by displaying the presence/absence of voice information and its volume on a display part of a radio selective calling receiver.
Voice information or character information is stored in received data, and the type of the stored received information is displayed. When the character information is selected, the character information is displayed. When the voice information is selected, characters meaning voice, or symbols 22 and the information volume of the voice are displayed on a display part 21. Consequently, wasteful reproducing operation can be prevented and the life of a built-in battery can be saved.
