Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the consumption of a battery resulting from lighting a display section.
SOLUTION: Upon the receipt of time information from a control section 11, a lighting control section 10 compares the information with information of a lighting time zone stored in advance, in a lighting time zone storage section 8 and sets a lighting stop mode, when the time is at the outside of the lighting time zone. When a selective calling signal addressed to its own set is received afterward, the control section 10 collates a received message stored in a message storage section 3 with specific data stored in advance in a specific data storage section 9 and sets the lighting stop mode,) when the received message does not include the specific data. When afterward lighting of a display section 6 is instructed through the operation of a key entry section 5 by the user, the control section 10 allows a lighting section 7 to light up the display section 6.
