Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio wave arrival direction detecting apparatus for one-dimensionally or two-dimensionally and simultaneously and accurately detecting radio wave arrival directions of a plurality of radio signals.
SOLUTION: The radio wave arrival direction detecting apparatus is, as shown in the figure, provided with one excitation element A0, an array antenna apparatus 100 comprising six nonexcitation elements A1-A6, a radio receiver 10 and a controller 20. The controller 20 detects each received signal y(t) received by the array antenna apparatus 100 when a set of reactance values of different variable reactance elements 12-1 to 12-6 is set, calculates a correlation matrix Ryy based on the received signals, decomposes the calculated correlation matrix Ryy into eigenvalues, calculates an eigenvector of the correlation matrix Ryy, calculates a MUSIC spectrum based on the calculated eigenvector by using a MUSIC method and calculates the arrival directions of the received signals based on the calculated MUSIC spectrum.
