To improve an S/N ratio in a radiograph detector which detects a light as an electrical signal by converting a radiation ray into the light.
The radiograph detector is configured by laminating a radiation converting layer 1 which is irradiated with the radiation ray to emit the light, an electrode layer 2 through which the light emitted from the radiation converting layer 1 is transmitted, a charge generation layer 3 which generates charges by being irradiated with the light transmitted through the electrode layer 2, and a charge detecting layer 4 wherein a large number of pixels, including a capacitor 42 for storing signal charges corresponding to the charges generated at the charge generation layer 3 and a TFT switch element 41 for reading out the signal charges from the capacitor 42, are arrayed in two-dimension manner, in this order. The electrode layer 2 is made of a metal thin film, and the charge generation layer 3 is formed by a-Se.
