To permit radiographing of a sufficient grade for surgery or diagnoses while restraining an exposure dose of radiation.
The radiographing control device having a radiation source and a detection panel for detecting radiation emitted from the radiation source, operates as a first radiographing mode in which a radiograph is obtained by driving the radiation source to have a first dose of irradiation and a second radiographing mode in which a radiograph is obtained by driving the radiation source to have a second dose of irradiation smaller than the first dose of irradiation. A radiographing control section detects a variation of an image between frames by using an image captured in the first or second radiographing mode and sets the frame rate of the first radiographing mode on the basis of the variation. Here the radiographing control section makes radiographing in the second mode to be carried out with timing based on a fixed frame rate and timing other than the timing of carrying out the first radiographing mode.
