To provide a rafter fastener capable of firmly and securely fastening a rafter to the rafter seat of a girder, a purlin, a ridge beam or the like, and in particular ensuring high resistance against vertical tension.
A rafter fastener 1 is used as hardware for fixing a rafter 2 to the rafter seat of a girder, a purlin, a ridge beam or the like. The fastener 1 is formed out of an upper plate type part 11 kept in contact with and fixed to the rafter 2, and a lower plate type part 12 integrally connected to the lower part of the upper plate type part 11 and kept in contact with and fixed to a rafter seat 3. In this case, the upper plate type part 11 and the lower plate type pat 12 are made by bending the prescribed shapes of metallic plates so as to be vertical to each other. Also, the upper plate type part 11 and the lower plate type part 12 are respectively formed to have fixing holes 13 and 14, and the fixing holes 13 and 14 of the upper plate type part 11 and/or the lower plate type part 12 are positioned on the extension line P of a metallic plate bending line B.
