Abstract:
To provide a rail vehicle which can secure a large space to be attached with equipment under the floor of an underframe that is made thinner, while maintaining strength.SOLUTION: A rail vehicle operating along a rail track is constituted of a body structure which comprises: an underframe 35 forming a floor face; side body structures erected at both end parts in a width direction of the underframe; and a roof body structure mounted on upper end parts of the side body structures. The underframe is composed of: an extrusion material which has a vehicle outside side plate 35b; a vehicle inside side plates 35a arranged at distance from the vehicle outside side plate; and plural connection plates 35c connecting between the vehicle outside side plate and the vehicle inside side plate. The underframe comprises: spaces 38 formed between the vehicle outside side plate and the vehicle inside side plate; screw seats 50 inserted in the spaces in a longitudinal direction of the underframe; and reinforcement members 36 mechanically and discretely connected to the respective screw seats and arranged under the vehicle outside side plate.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
