To provide a rain gutter for an automobile roof and a roof molding to prevent the dirt of a soil matter on the side face of an automobile body and window glass.
The rain gutter for the automobile is covered with a hood 1 to form a bag shape of an inverted L-shape, to prevent a soil matter 8 accumulated on the bottom 6 of the rain gutter from being directly hit by raindrops and scattered. The rain gutter is embedded to the roof 3 and formed so that the hood 1 and the entire roof 3 form approximately the same horizontal face, thereby minimizing air resistance. A string 5 is stretched in the longitudinal direction (vehicle length direction) on the bottom 6 of the rain gutter. The string 5 is vibrated by the traveling vibration of the vehicle so as to scrap and pat the bottom 6 of the rain gutter. This peels the adhered soil matters 8 and makes them flow out together with rainwater. Since car washing requires a large amount of tap water, this structure can save a water resource.
