Title:
RAISING SEEDLING SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH03290117
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide the title system causing no entanglement of seedling roots adjacent to each other, so designed that a baseplate member forming concave- entering regions are laid at the bottom corresponding to the lower positions of hill-seeded seeds so that roots extended from the seeds grow in a lumpy fashion in said regions.

CONSTITUTION: A baseplate member 4 is laid at the bottom of a raising seedling box 1, bed soil 2 is put thereon, and an upper member 6 is laid thereon. Seed unhulled rice 3 are then seeded on the soil 2 exposed through holes 7 on the upper member 6 followed by soil covering, thus making raising seedling. Thereby, the roots of extended seedlings grow in a lumpy fashion in concave-entering regions formed by the baseplate member 4, effecting favorable separation of the seedling roots adjacent to each other, thus easily raising seedlings for planting using a rice transplanter.
